Character Dining at Universal

I have never been to Universal but we are going the week of March 27-April 2. We are staying in a condo and doing 4 days at Disney and one at Universal and one at Seaworld. My son wants to dine with Marvel Characters, where would this happen as I have no idea about Universal. Please any help is greatly appreciated.

The Spiderman breakfast is located at Confisco Grille in Port of Entry at IOA. Here are the details:

Is there other characters there besides Spiderman? I am such a novice about Universal.

cat in hat. thing 1 and 2. but the interaction with spiderman is awesome. food pretty much sucks.

Is there more than one character dining experience? Above mentioned Spiderman, Cat in the Hat, and Things 1 and 2. But on the picture on the USO site it shows Scooby. Are there different characters at different venues or times? Thanks!

From my understanding, different characters appear at the resorts but I'm not sure when or who. The only character dining at the parks is Spiderman, Thing 1 & 2 and Cat in the Hat.

PBH has one Fri-HRH Sat and RPR Wed & Sat, we usually eat at RPR when Scoobys there, usually a Wed, but would need to phone nearer the time to see whos on. Its not like Disney, as the meal is the same price with or without characters. We always find The Islands to be very quiet, and have lots of time with S&S, they sat talking to us once [well Shaggy did Scobbys a dog and cannot talk] for more than 20 mins, there was only 3 other couples in the place.

What is RPR? Sorry, this is our first trip to Universal and I have no idea what all the abbreviations mean! So there is character dining on Wed? Universal's website just says it's available 2 days a week.

rph is royal pacific hotel.
it is one of the three onsite hotels at universal.


each hotel onsite has character dining.

you order off the regular menu and the characters make their rounds to the tables.

you can take pics, talk to them as they will talk back to you, etc.

if you stay onsite or offsite, anyone can do the dining at the resort hotels and take in the action of the characters present.

the dates have been listed on the UO website.
if i get time later, i will pull up that link for you.

i have done the breakfast with spidey and dinners at rph and hrh/hard rock hotel, with the characters in the past visits.

Princess Fiona and Shrek appear at the resorts as well, again different nights.

Scooby and Shaggy are fantastic at these restaurants. As Robert said they spend lots of time with everyone, had pictures taken and we loved it. I was like an over excited 5 year old

They came into Jakes Bar when we were there as well as the Islands

Is there a character breakfast at RPR on saturday, sunday or monday?? If so what characters do they have and where at the resort is it served??

only character dinners are at the on site hotels.

the character breakfast is in the park/IOA and never at the hotels.

Well we saw them at RPR in Jakes Bar, they go to the Islands as well. I`m sure they appear at the other hotels too.

As to what night...... you would need to ring the hotel and find out what night... at what hotel.

You don`t need a reservation for Jakes or The Islands.
