Looking for a character dinner for 7 adult women. Something kinda fun around the Epcot area. We are planning on going to Illuminations following dinner. It could be in Epcot or on the boardwalk. Any ideas??

On another note, I know that Cape May Cafe is not a character dinner, but is the buffet any good?

thanks so much:dance3:

I hear the 1900 Park Faire dinner with the stepsisters is a pretty fun character meal. I've read some good reviews of both the food and the character interaction. It is at the Grand Floridian, which you can take the monorail to/from Epcot.

the character dining in Epcot includes Akershus in Norway and Garden Grill in The Land Pavillion. Depending upon the timing, taking monorail from Epcot to TTC and then transferring to the Resort monorail to the GF and then back may be much more time than intended. jmho

1900 is a good idea...

The CM seafood buffet is okay...Nothing terrific and the atmosphere is very calm...I would not call it fun.

You can do the princess dinner in Norway for an actual character meal....Very good meal...You mighht like that!

I do not think Chip and Dale at the Garden Grill would suit your party but that is also in Epcot.

I think you should definitely do the Princess meal at Akershus in Norway! How fun would that be with 7 women, all princesses themselves of course!

The only character dinners in Epcot, as noted, are Garden Grill and Akershus. Boardwalk has no character meals. There is a character buffet dinner at the Garden Grove (not the same as the Garden Grill) at the Swan resort (Timon and Rafiki Mondays and Fridays, Goofy and Pluto the rest of the time). If you're not in the mood for princesses and you don't like Garden Grill's food or just want a buffet, it's worth a shot. They don't take the dining plan but there may be 20% discounts available for DVC and AAA members.

They are not character meals, but Epcot restaurants that could be fun for a group might include Biergarten, Teppan Edo, San Angel Inn, Rose and Crown and Chefs de France.

We just did the Garden Grill character dinner in November and it was a lot of fun. We had 7 adults and 3 children. The characters interacted with everyone, not just the kids.

The food was good and our waitress ( Ellen ) was terrific!

We love the garden grill. We saw Mickey, pluto chip and dale. The food was good ( all you can eat family style) and the resturant is turning very slowly. It is a very unique thing. If you visit www.allears.net you can see menus and photos of food served in almost every place.
