Character Caravan

They have stopped doing the Character Caravan since they started Extra Magic Hour (Early Entry).

We visited in October and December of 2002. There were SO MANY opportunities to visit with characters, more than ever in our past visits. I vaguely remember reading about this (don't recall if there was a specific reason on Disney's part) but it was great having so many chances to see the Disney characters.

If you have little ones, this will be particularly good!

Despite the extreme popularity of the Character Caravan, it has been discontinued in favor of the Extra Magic Hour. As people have mentioned, they have increased the character greets at the parks to compensate.

They most certainly have more characters at the parks these days! On my trip two weeks ago, we met 74 different characters over five days - not bad at all!!! I know this since we have 72 signatures in our autograph books (we needed more than one book!) plus two characters who can't sign, King Louie and Mike. I'm so glad Disney does this now - some characters are so fun much to interact with! :)
