Character Caravan????

Can someone please tell me what this is and where excatly it goes?

Characters go to certain hotels on certain days of the week usually between 8:00-10:00a.m. before people go to the parks.They sign autograph books etc.I guess people complained that they didn't see the characters enough in the parks-although from my experience they don't send the REALLY good ones like Mickey and Minnie.We saw characters from Alice in Wonderland,Pinocchio,Pocahantas and Pluto last year at ASMo.It's a cute send off for the kids!
