This is kind of a ridiculous question, but I want to make sure I get it right. I am trying to schedule a Character Call for my son.

On the "scheduling your call" page, it says, "From" and "to." There is already an option to select which character will be making the call, in our case that would be Mickey.

Does that mean I also have to type "Mickey" into the from box? Or do I put my own name there? I would put Mickey, but like I said that has already been selected. This screen says, "Scheduling your call from Mickey" in fact.

Bump.

Anyone know what the "from" and "to" questions are used for. How are they incorporated into the message, if at all??

I belive that is where they get your info. for billing. Before you get to the schedule page you can see what the call is going to "say". Look to the left for an area that says "preview call". You can read through it. Anything you add after that will not be part of the call.

I just booked the call at www.disneycharactercalls.com, and there didn't appear to be anywhere to preview the planned call -- just a button to preview an example call on the first page, where you also select which characters the call will be from. I selected Mickey and Minnie" and on the second page used "Mommy and Daddy" for "from" and our kids names for "to." I hope that works, but it seems very weird and certainly isn't clear/obvious.

There isn't anything for billing, as this is not a billed service, just a free perk of the current disney reservation package.

No, not just for staying on-site at a Resort hotel. We are staying at the Candy Cane Inn, but reserved through Disney Travel. It is one of the "perks" they include with a travel package (along with Toontown Madness, a free coin, lanyard and pin, etc.)

Ok, but do you have to have booked your package through Disney Travel?

I booked it through a travel agent at mouseforless.com. I believe all/most disney travel agents work with Disney Travel directly to book any type of package, and then the package is sent to you by Disney Travel. Does that make sense?
