I want to do Minnie and friends for sure, and have that booked. But I also booked at Storytellers since we are staying at the GCH, and I thought that would be really handy. But today a friend of mine told me that she's done all 3 and Goofy's is her favorite. Now I'm second guessing! I know everyone is going to have their own opinions, but I'm asking for some now. Thoughts? Advice? :confused3

We don't really have any preferences, than Minnie, which we are doing for sure. It's just a second one that I'm not sure of.

For breakfast, Goofy's Kitchen is our favorite :thumbsup2

Storytellers has the best food but the characters and character interaction is not good! if you have any princesses then I'd suggest Ariels!

Totally agree with this. Hadn't done Storytellers character meal since 2006, so we finally tried it again yesterday. We thought the food was tasty for the most part, more so than the food at Goofy's. There is a lot more variety at Goofy's though. We found the character interaction at Storyteller's to be disappointing. After more than 1/2 an hour, we had met only one character, Brer Bear. He stopped barely long enough to high five the boys and have a picture taken. After a little over an hour total, we had seen three characters. One of them was so quick with us that when we started to snap a picture, he was already starting to inch over to the next table. My younger DS is a huge fan of Dale and waited the whole meal to see him, but he never came close to our table. It wasn't really all that fun an experience.

If you want to meet Chip and Dale and are still in the parks tomorrow check out the area near the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail... If it is raining they often hang out in the lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel... Here is a pic from our last trip when we were waiting for the limo to take us to the airport..

Thanks for the tip. We're home now. We did meet Chip and Dale at least once this trip (got some pictures of them in their Mardi Gras clothes) and generally have no trouble finding them, so we told DS9 to get over it. Honestly, we have a whole stack of just Chip and Dale meet-and-greets from the last five years. I was mostly trying to make the point that we found the character interaction spotty at Storyteller's, so I wouldn't recommend it if that was your main objective and of high importance to your little ones. We all enjoyed our food, so the experience was good enough; it just could be better.

if you want princess do lunch its better then brekfast from what ive ehard. an i love storytellers.

We have had nothing but poor experiences at Goofy's, both for dinner and breakfast. Poor character interaction and I'm not really impressed with the food. We will not be returning, I mean it this time! No more chances, with hopes of change.

We love Minnie and Friends and continue to do that on each, and every trip.

We've never done Storytellers because I don't think my kids would even know who the characters are.

We haven't done Surf's up either, for no particular reason. If we stay at PP again we may try it.

A lot of folks say the food at Storytellers is better than Goofy's - I don't agree. I think the food can be good or bad at any place on any given day - and you don't know which day you are going to get when you go. Plus, everyone has different tastes. I would actually eat at Goofy's even if there were NO characters. And I wouldn't continue to eat there if I felt the food was insufficient.

I've been eating at Goofy's for almost 20 years, so obviously I don't find the food to be bad at all. And any of the times I have done the Critter Breakfast, not once have I thought, "Wow. This food is so much better." In fact, the last time my friends and I ate there, none of us were bowled over by the Critter Breakfast. I am perfectly willing to jump ship and switch favorite character meals if there is something to lure me in at another one - either food-wise or character-wise. The Critter Breakfast is not enough to lure me away from Goofy's. Plus, the buffet is small there, whereas Goofy's has a huge buffet and there is much more to choose from.

It's all going to really boil down to personal tastes and preferences, though. Some people will just simply prefer Storytellers over Goofy's - or vice versa - and for a variety of reasons (atmosphere, taste in food, selection of characters, etc.). And both places can have great days and 'off' days in terms of food and characters.

My daughter and I are doing Ariel's for lunch :)

Hmm. What to do... I THINK I may just switch from Storytellers to Goofy.
