My family & I will be there in Nov. My DH & I did Disney for our honeymoon in 03 & did O'Hana for breakfast & Goofy was there. We loved the food & wanted to go back there with our DD who will be 6. She loves pluto & would love to see him. I am hearing that only Lilo & Stitch will be at o'hana. Is this true? I thought about Chef Mickey's for breakfast because I hear all the characters are there, but I am also hearing bad reviews of that experience from the food to the interaction. Can anyone help? :confused3

We enjoy the breakfast at Ohanas however Goofy is not there it is Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch. It was a lot of fun and at one point they have the kids follow Mickey around the room in a Parade playing some sort of musical device. They also give everyone in your party leis which is a nice little touch. As for CM, we are one of those families that do not care for it at all. We have been to both breakfast and dinner and both times we felt like the characters were rushed and the food was not that great. At Ohanas, the characters were not rushed at all and spent a ton of time with our 2 girls, Lilo especially loved hanging out with my youngest DD because she had her pin lanyard on and one of the pins was a Lilo pin. Lilo caught eye of it and started giggling and dancing aound and showed Stitch as he came by, of course Stitch was jealous which made it even funnier :goodvibes.

Our favorite character breakfast is Tusker House currently. We are going to be trying Ohanas for BF in less than two weeks and the girls are very much looking forward to it ;) We will never again do Chef Mickeys, though I do hear BF is much better than their Dinner.

We did Akershus this morning and it is now along side O'hanna as our favorite BF. Chef Mickey's is efficient as far a major characters, but food is only acceptable. Themed is unique, but not as good as either Akershus or O'hana. Avoid Hollywood and Vine. The other one to consider is Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. It has Goofy, Chip and Dale.

if your daugter has any want to see princess's then i recomend Norway breakfast. The food is really tasty, the characters are great too. For more of "the gang" characters I like Garden Grill, the food is good, and the Characters are really involved. :)

We have done Chef Mickey's for breakfast twice now... Our first experiene was amazing... We met all the characters, had a quiet table with views of the castle... The second time convinced me we really just got lucky the first time and we probably will not return... the section we sat in was incredibly noisy, the food was nothing to write home about, and I think we were just plain old miserable because we went through alot to get there... see TR for details....

We have been to Crystal Palace for both lunch and dinner but never breakfast and I liked it there both times too. Again- I think next time we might branch out for a different experience.

I have heard wonderful things about the Norway breakfast with the princesses... I might look into that for next time!!

Enjoy and be sure to take plenty of pictures.. I know I did!!

We did the Cape May Breakfast and it was great. The food was delicious and the character interaction was great. I can't remember who all was there, but I know for sure Goofy was along with Minnie and Donald Duck. Mickey was NOT there.

'Ohana is our favorite character breakfast. The food is fantastic and the characters are a lot of fun. Mickey and Pluto are super but Stitch is also a lot of fun. Our interaction with Lilo has always been pretty fast, though.

Another great character meal with Mickey is Garden Grill. The food is wonderful and the characters truly make the meal wonderful. Chip, Dale, Pluto and farmer Mickey.

Both restaurants are a must-do for my family. We have never been disappointed at either place.

Thank you all so much for your advice.:thumbsup2 We will probably wind up doing O'hana & look into Garden Grill. She is absolutely into the princesses but I hear Ariel doesn't really make an appearance at breakfast, more for lunch. Hear the food is so-so for lunch but I really want to try to get the meal where she will be. She is her favorite princess as Pluto is her favorite character.

We did O'Hana in September and it was brill. Lots of fun interactions. Pluto had great fun scaring my mum and we wanted to wait for mickey to come around so ended up seeing Lilo and Stitch twice each but the waitress seemed a little impatient once we paid the bill i think she expected us to leave then. I didn't want to leave until I saw Mickey Mouse and figured I'd paid enough to stay lol other than that food was great and breakfast was fun!

Ohana's is one of our favorite breakfast places. We were there in Oct. and we saw Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.Honestly, I would have to go back and look at our pictures to see if it has changed over the years. We'll be going back in Sept.

Lunch at the castle with the Princess is a wonderful experience. We haven't done it in a few years, because my kids are too old. But this year we will be traveling with friends who have a 2 year old and a 7 year old. I can't wait to take them to BBB and then to lunch with the Princesses. princess:

I love planning our ADRs. Have fun deciding.

We have always eaten at Akershus breakfast, it is like a family tradition of ours to eat there on our first full day before the park opens. Anyways, the last 2 times we ate their we saw Ariel. She was gorgeous in her dress. Last September while having dinner at CRT, we saw her again in her gown. The thing about characters, especially the princess meals is that they are subject to change without notice, just because you hear that she is there more for lunch, doesn't actually mean she will be there on the day that you will be there. Here is hoping that your little girl gets to see her favorite princess....I just wanted to give you an FYI :goodvibes.

i'm loving all the rave reviews for 'ohana! we're going there on our first full day in may and we are both SO excited!

we're the nerdy adults that do character breakfasts with no kiddos :D

last year we did Cape May Cafe, and all three Characters just waved at us as they walked by to the table with kids next to us. it was VERY disappointing.
I get that Disney is all about the kiddos, but we paid for the experience, too! *pouty face*

I would have said something to a CM. When I was about 12, I looked fully grown (I was already at my max height of 5ft 8.) and was passed over at our table. We said something about it, and they all came back and spent a good amount of time with me to make up for it.

They may have assumed you two were the here for the food, so leave us alone types, by mistake.

As for the OP, I triple that garden grill recommendation. :cheer2: outside of being passed over at ohana (as said above) it is the greatest memories I have of character meals. We would go there for lunch nearly every time and had tons of interaction with the characters. The food (for children, which I was at the time) is great and it isn't a buffet either so no having to get up. Not sure if they do this anymore, but we kids also got a cup to keep as part of the meal. We still have them.

Our favorite Character breakfasts are. Ohana, Cape May, and Chef Mickeys.

We love the food and characters at Ohana. Cape May is less hectic, and they have good charaters. Chef Mickeys is a mad house, but it is all about the Fab Five!

That's awful! :sad2: My husband and I went to WDW several times without kids and we have always had the characters come over and interact with us. We did have a not so great experience at Akershus with some of the princesses, but even they stopped for a second or two. Best experience EVER has been at Garden Grill, though. They are top notch. :goodvibes

We love Chef Mickey's, we thought the food was great and the character interaction was wonderful.

That is bad! We were two adults in O'Hana's and all the characters still came over. Best interaction and longest was with Pluto and Stitch.. Pluto kept coming back to us because he had snook up on my mum and she jumped really high and obviously he found this amusing lol

We were just there in October 2010 and O'Hana's was just Lilo and Stitch for breakfast but was fun. Cape May has Goofy and gang for breakfast.:cool1:

Chef Mickey has Mickey and Goofy and Minnie or did last we there as we have not been back as food was not so good and it is buffet but service for juice was bad only good service was the bill. Tusker House has a Donald Safari and Goofy also there but was no Mickey last fall. But service and food great.

Hollywood and Vine has Handy Manny and friends and is very good breakfast:dance3: Crystal Palace has the whole Pooh gang and interaction good there,
