Character Breakfast?

We are planning a trip to DLR to go to the parks on Dec 4th and 5th, staying at GCH. On the 6th, we'll check out and go to Knott's. Thought we would do a character breakfast at one of the 3 hotels first. Which one would you recommend and why? Or should we just skip it? We are doing the dinner at Ariel's Grotto on the 4th.

If it's just adults or older children, I'd recommend Storyteller's. It has the best food and you can order off the menu if you don't want to do the buffet. Banana Stuffed French Toast is really, really yummy.

I hear Lilo & Stitch is fun for kids and you can also order off the menu as well.

Part of me thinks it would be easiest to do Storytellers, since we will be staying there, but wondered if we should try one of the others.

This is a hotly debated issue on DISboards, and everyone has very valid reasons for why they love the character meals they love!!

I am a diehard Goofy's Kitchen fan - for breakfast only (not so crazy about the dinner selections), and I am an adult with NO kids whatsoever! My friends and I have eaten at Goofy's (even on trips to the DLH where we didn't go into the parks!) for 16 years. We love the wide variety of food (all you can eat) for the price, and it IS the most expensive (but, to us, it is worth it). Goofy's has more to choose from in their buffet because that is all they do, day and night - buffet only - whereas the other character meals take place in restaurants that have to function as either non-character or non-buffet meals for part of the day. We like the quality of food at Goofy's - we have only had maybe two experiences there where the food wasn't as tasty - but it is usually fresh and hot and delicious. My friend loves the biscuits and gravy, creme brulee French toast, the croissants and the Mickey-shaped peach or apple cobbler. I love the mini-muffins, the eggs, bacon (delicious) and potatoes and the FRUIT is super-yummy! But there is SO much more to choose from at Goofy's for even the pickiest of eaters - even chicken and pepperoni pizza for breakfast! Also, we like the character selection better at Goofy's, BUT it looks like Minnie's has some great characters too. We may try Minnie's soon, but we will always squeeze in a meal at Goofy's Kitchen! I actually like Storyteller's Cafe better during the non-character/non-buffet times. They have some great dishes on their lunch menu!

Ok, here are my suggestions.

Lilo & Stitch at PP, loved that b-fast, good food and the characters were awesome!!!
Minnie & Friends, but this is inside the park so probably not what you would want to do.
Ariel's Grotto, you're already doing a meal here so skip the b-fast.
Goofy's Kitchen, we had the worst experience here. NO character interaction, the same 3 characters kept coming over to us. The food was good but not good enough to go back.
Storytellers, we haven't done this yet. We had a house fire a few years ago (extremely severe, we had to live elsewhere for 6 months while they rebuilt) and the wood smoke smell in Storytellers freaks my DD8 out. So we haven't pushed it. I think I'll try it in Jan when it's just the big kid (DBF) and myself but I have no input on it for now.

Storytellers:

-- great atmosphere -- gorgeous dining room
-- fun characters -- last time we saw chip & dale (& I think Timon, too?) they were so cute & friendly
-- great food -- really much better than any other character meal, ever
-- choices -- it's a buffet, but if someone in your party isn't hungry, they can order a la carte and get something small instead of the buffet
-- noise -- I find Goofy's kitchen fun, but WAY too loud. Storytellers isn't as loud or chaotic.
-- location -- you're really close to the parks (esp the back entrance to CA) when you've finished your breakfast, plus, the Grand Californian lobby is so beautiful to walk through.

Personally, I'd probably skip Knots and do a 3rd day at DLR, and do Plaza
