Character Breakfast with only Adults

My boyfriend and I have done Minnie's breakfast 6 times now (twice on our last trip!) and we've always had a great time as two adults. The CM's aren't weird about us not having children at our table and the characters love actually being able to have little "conversations" with us. Which is usually them acting something out and us trying to figure out what they're saying. So if you're great at charades you'll have a fantastic time lol

Bumping this up because sadly the friend I had planned on going with to Minnie's on my birthday is no longer able to go. :/ I have asked a few other local friends and the answer seems to be they'd love to but park admission is too expensive. I am blessed to have gotten an annual pass last year as part gift which is only reason I can afford to go! Anyway, and if need be, I could make this a new thread but thought I'd start here...anyone planning to go to DL on Tuesday morning May 12th? That is my birthday and I do have a Minnie's reservation for 2 that morning. PM me for more specific info. This birthday is a bigger one and I truly have been so looking forward to being at DL and the special breakfast fun on my birthday. I need some positive cheer right now! Please PM me if you will be at DL then, solo. and maybe would like to join me. I would appreciate so much and we'd have fun. I should reiterate I am not a thrill ride person at all and do have health limitations but I LOVE just being at DL. I think it would be a lot of fun to on my birthday get to ride Alice and Pooh, at least, (because they have birthday mentions) with a friend and fellow fan from on here. I may also be spending a few hours at the park on Monday May 11th. I do need to decide on Minnie's though soon. Thank you!

That is a good idea, however, I think most of the hotel breakfasts are full. It is Mother's Day the weekend before as well as the TinkerBell 1/2 Marathon races. A lot of people could still be in the park that day.

Edited to add: I was so wrong about this and I apologize. I just checked and both Surf's Up and Goofy's Kitchen have ADR's available around 8:30am for 2 people. We like both places and have celebrated a birthday at both. You could have a hotel breakfast and then hit the park solo for your birthday.

Thanks agamble for that idea. I will check into it. I do admit the idea of being in DL on my b-day seems more special! I also as I said had never done a character breakfast before and thought my birthday would be the time to do that. I do appreciate your suggestion

The hotels have character breakfasts though, Surf's Up at PPH, Storyteller's at GC and Goofy's at DLH I believe is what each is called. The only one I know for sure is Surf's Up as we have a breakfast scheduled there when we're there next month.

Yes, that is what I meant. Each hotel has a different character breakfast. Surf's Up is Mickey and friends, Storyteller's is Chip & Dale and friends, and Goofy's is obviously Goofy and friends. The prices vary for each one, but none require park admission.

Thank you both very much for clearing that up for me. I'm sorry I didn't realize. I haven't stayed on property in eons, since DHL was the only hotel on property and when I was very young! I will wait and see a couple more days and then maybe post (I have seen others do this) a specific meet/solo thread for that day and see what happens.

My vote is for Goofy's Kitchen. I have done Character breakfasts with just adults before at Goofy's Kitchen and let me tell you it is a blast!! The Character still interact with you. I would suggest getting a breakfast reservation no matter what you pick sooner rather than later because the reservations fill up fast there. Have a great time!

I do solo character meals all the time at WDW. Usually 2 per trip. No one has ever given me strange looks (I am a 50 y.o. guy) and the characters are always willing to take pictures with me. A group of adults at a character meal are just as welcome as a solo adult or a family with children.

Haha Me too! For me, the character meals are a part of the experience. I've done solo, and with the family. Never felt out of place.
