Character breakfast -- when to book?

Does the character breakfast fill up at busy times? wondering if it is something we can decide to do when we get there, or should book in advance to make sure it is available? we will be there at a peak time.

I would try booking in advance if you are going during a busy time. During our trip in January, I was able to go up to the podium a few days before and secure a breakfast reservation when it was showing no availability during the time I wanted.

I'm glad I looked . . online availability is pretty limited. Of course, I waited until the last minute (we will be there next week) and could only find one day with any availability at all during out 10 day stay. I usually am very on top of my Disney bookings but am apparently operating on Island time for this trip.

Agreed. I accidentally booked the wrong morning when I did it three months ago. Just realized my mistake and there are no times other than 730am or 945am left on the day I need (which is not until June!). I check daily and so far nothing has opened up. Will keep checking and also check when we are there. It is our departure day, so I don't want to be eating at 945 and rushing back to room to pack and get checked out by 11.

Character breakfast is available daily, correct? I thought I read somewhere it's only available on certain days of the week, but I am not sure how up-to-date that info is.

fyi, there is a lot more availability when you get to Aulani then you can see on line. I couldn't get anything reasonable online. Went to the restaurant when I got here, and could pretty much get any day or time I would want. so check when you arrive. I think it is every day (at least during peak times), but not 100% certain.

and when you do your onine check-in, request late check out at that time. that will help you have a better chance of securing it. last checkout time is 1 pm. we have late checkout tomorrow.
