My DH has just tried to book us a character breakfast for our trip in February.

He was told that Cafe Mickey wasnt doing character breakfasts for our dates 16th,17th or 18th Feb just lunch and dinner and he wasnt given any alternative restaurant. I thought that Plaza Gardens did a breakfast.

I am now very confused as i know some of you have had character breakfasts at both of these restaurants.

Have we just got a CM that doesnt know what they are talking about? :confused3

We telephoned the dining number.

Any help?

Just feeling a little disappointed right now. :guilty:

It may be that those days weren't coming up for the CM because you can't book so far out. I was told in May that Plaza Gardens breakfast wasn't available to book until 14 days out (could have been 7 - struggling to remember) - I rang back to confirm with another CM and it was right. In the end I ended up booking elsewhere anyway, but it doesn't hurt to ring again to check.

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I've only had character lunches and dinners, never breakfasts but I can't believe that there won't be at least one restaurant offering them.

I second pigby's advice ~ I'd phone again. Good luck. :goodvibes

Hi

I have just booked Disneyland Paris for the same week through Thomson and have booked the character breakfast as well (for 14th Feb). They said at the time that there wasn't much availability. Not sure which restaurant it will be in though. Hope this helps a bit!!

By the way, I have been looking at this site for the last few weeks and it has been invaluble for making decisions on the booking!! Thanks for a great site!!

Cant wait till february!!!

Thank you!!

It is our first trip to Disneyland Paris and I would have been lost without this site. I am so excited. We'll be telling the kids on christmas day, I can't wait to tell them - It's killing me keeping the secret!!

Just to update. We did ring back and were told this time that we can only book it 2 days before the date we want. :confused3

We then tried again and were told the same thing again, when we said we knew people who had already booked their character breakfast for February we were told it wasnt possible. :confused3

We tried for third time lucky and were told this time that we could book it but only if we fax our request to them.

So i dont know what to think. I just hope if we wait and book it 2 days before there is still availability as we havent done a character breakfast at DLP before.

Neither do I. :confused3

I remember Plaza Gardens was definitely hosting character breakfasts as well as Cafe Mickey last Christmas because we did toy with the idea of going. Perhaps they only have breakfasts at PG when the parks are very busy??? But then that doesn't explain why you can't book??? It's very puzzling. :(

If you find you're unable to book a breakfast will it be a terrible disappointment or would you quite happily settle for a character lunch/dinner?

Sorry I can't be of any help but I'll send you some pixiedust:

Just a thought ~ you are phoning direct to DLRP dining reservations on 00 33 1 60 30 40 50 and not the central reservations office?

A quick further update. :thumbsup2

We managed to get DHs mum to fax our request to DLP from her work.

A few hours later we got a phone call from DLP, an american man :confused3 , who was phoning with regards to our fax.

We were able to book it over the phone with him for the date and time we wanted and he took payment and said we will get confirmation shortly. :cheer2:

So thanks Ware Bears i think your pixie dust helped. :goodvibes

We wanted the breakfast rather than the lunch/dinner as we get kids go free with the breakfast. This is a budget trip as we are saving for WDW in September. So really glad we got it. It was £24 for the 4 of us to dine with the characters at Cafe Mickey!!

Really pleased, thanks for the help and advice. :Pinkbounc
