Hi, My last day is on a friday and my flight leaves sanford at 16.40pm. I am trying to get an idea of a meal plan and i am wondering if a character breakfast would be realistic on the last day as I am not sure of how long it takes to get from wdw to sanford?
I am guessing that you have to be at the airport ealier than you would in the Uk.

I'd think you'd have plenty of time to do a character breakfast, One trip I went on was, I think a thomsons package and the transfer back to sanford was VERY early, we were at sanford about 4 hours prior to flying home!! officially you should be there recommended 3 hours but 2 is usually plenty. so I'd think at the earliest you'd be picked up at around 12:30/13:00.
It takes about an hour if I remember rightly for a mini bus style transfer back to SFB

When we went in 2004, we did a package with Virgin which included pick-up at the hotel and transport to DTD to do check-in. Then, we had breakfast at 1900 Park Faire at GF. It was a really nice breakfast, the character interaction was great (considering it was all adults at our table) and we had a really relaxing last morning. The transport then dropped us off at DTD again, where we spent the rest of our money on souvenirs a-plenty :)

I think a character meal is a great way to 'finish' your trip :thumbsup2

You should have plenty of time for a breakfast.

We done the Mothers Day lunch in Epcot last year on our last day
A lovely way to finish the Holiday

but watch out if you are doing a breakfast in the parks you will have to use a ticket to get in
so maybe if you are not planning on going to a park on the last day do one at a resort
The Beach club comes to mind

it takes about an hour to drive to the airport
dropping off the car just takes a few minutes

I think this will be a lovely way to end your holiday on a high :)

Hi

A grand idea I would never of thought of this.

You would definately have time.

Can you park at the resort hotels if your not a guest, but are having a character meal at one of the resorts? We will be staying in a villa this time round.

Thanks
Michelle

Michelle - yes you can. In general you get a 3 hour parking pass :)

On the last trip we did Chef Mickey's for breakfast (9.10 ADR) then returned to AKL to finish packing and have a final hour or so in the pool. We left AKL about 1pm stopping at the Beach Club for sundaes at Beaches & Cream on the way to Sanford. Our flight left at 17.45 and we weren't rushed at all.

A character breakfast is a lovely way to soak up that last little bit of magic before heading for home.
