Character breakfast on Europe cruises

Are the character breakfasts on Europe cruises held on sea days? Are they offered on only 1 day? How early do they book up?

We will be silver when we sail on the 2019 7 night British Isles Cruise and wondering about availability...

You should not have any problems. That cruise is a little later, and since it is after school begins for most schools, I think there will be less children than normal, even in Europe. If you cannot get a reservation prior to cruising, you can usually get a reservation once onboard.

We're doing the 7 nt Northern European one this year. I had the options of either Tallinn (with a 10:30AM all ashore time) or the second day at sea. So it could be on a sea day or a 'late arrival' day. As a silver cruiser, we had no trouble getting the character breakfast at 90 days out--all times for those days were available.

Going to put a slight dampen on it, whilst earlier in the season, our CBs the VIP breakfast did sell out by 75 days.

We had it available on two sea days, and in 15 minutes slots, so from 8 am, then 8.15 etc to 9.45 am. As the Castaway club levels book the earlier slots go.

Basically you go in at your time, have tables for that time slot, so shared, and the characters come to you very quickly, you may order before they come, but they are prompt.

Recently some Castaway cruisers reported the system saying you couldn't cancel without a penalty but that was a glitch, DCL IT sorted it out. Just mention if it occurs to anyone.

UK school children may go back to school as late as the first full week in September, so there could be children on the cruise, UK children go back well after USA.

I am sure a good head server will obtain slots for anyone without one, and people do cancel if they get Palo Brunch as they can clash.

Europe med cruise in may/june (UK school half term holiday), no status as first cruise. Had choice of either sea day when I checked in, with a few slots on the first and quite a lot on the second. Only had a party of 4 to squeeze in though.

I was able to book my VIP character breakfast for the last sea day about 40 days before cruising....Palo was sold out before I could even try to book I've never done a character breakfast though!

The Magic ones are the very best, the famous characters, Mickey Minnie, Goofy Pluto, and they have learnt lessons from other CBs and the time slot starts really work very well.

You get to eat hot food a good menu, and fast inter action.

As long as your sailing has two sea days. Our Med cruise in June only has one sea day and thus, there is no character breakfast.
