My DH and I are planning an Anniversary trip to WDW this September. We were thinking of making breakfast reservations at Cinderella's Castle, but would it be reccomended for those travelling without kids? If not, is there a different Character Breakfast experience you would recommend?

Thanks!

It's pretty pricey, but nice to do once. Cape May Cafe has a nice b-fast buffet with characters, and it's usually quieter than others. Ohana is a good choice- the view is great, and has great characters- it is sit down, family style.

My husband and I have taken a few solo trips, and on our last one we ate at 1900 Park Faire in The Grand Floridian. While it can get noisy (it is a character breakfast after all), we enjoyed both the characters at the meal, and the variety of foods. We saw Tigger, Pooh, Mary Poppins, and Alice (maybe somebody else.... it was 2.5 yrs ago, so I forget :confused3 ). And the food selections are, IMO, way better than Chef Mickeys. We had the normal scrambled eggs, bacon, Mickey waffles, etc., but they also had chilled strawberry soup, and lots of other scrumptious things!

I should also have mentioned that we are using the Deluxe Dining plan as well, so the prices are less of an issue for us this time around.

I know MK does not serve alcohol, but are mimosas an option at any of the other meals?

My husband and I along with my parents did the charatcter buffet at the beach club, we have no children so it was fun to sit and eat and watch the kids interact with the characters. Yes, it can be noisy but it is only one breakfast for an hour or so. I do not know if they offer mamosas and alchol drinks in FL. I know in NY they can't serve them until after 12pm

My DH and I always do character breakfast (and dinner). We have no kids and find that the characters always interact great with adults. We also enjoy watching the children with the characters. We have enjoyed breakfast at the castle, breakfast at Tusker House (my DH loves their breakfast juice there and they have a huge variety on the buffet) and I LOVE Donald, Crystal Palace has a station with made to order eggs and omelettes, along with the buffet. But the castle has a great feel about it and while it is sit down and you get served a plate of food, you can ask for seconds of anything and they will bring it to you. 6 months and 11 days till our WDW vacation :dance3:

I think Tusker House has the most delicious breakfast overall, in my opinion, and there are some really unique African foods on the buffet if you are adventurous. The ham from the carving station is delicious.

Although I think Tusker House has the best food we like the quieter atmosphere at Cape May. We don't feel so "adults only" there. The food is as good there as the others (except Tusker).

This is what I like about Disney - adults can enjoy kid activities too. On our first trip to WDW as a family we had dinner at Crystal Palace. The table next to ours had a couple celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. I would recommend all the character breakfasts we've done: Crystal Palace, Tusker House, 1900 Park Fare and O'hana. We liked the food at Tusker house the best. The only thing is that it does get busy and loud. We've always done them very early though (8:00 am), so perhaps something mid-morning would be less hectic :confused3

Thank you all so very much for your recommendations! :thumbsup2

We are probably going to go with the castle, just because in all my years of going to Disney, I've always wanted to give it a try. I feel almost like we're in ADR overload, but I'm sure I will feel better once they open up on Monday and we have a plan!

Go to the castle! We eat there every year. We love it. And there are just the two of us in young 20's. Hopefully you get a window seat. We only have once but it was AMAZING! We got to see the park from above the whole meal. If you don't get to sit next to it, at least take a quick walk over and see how it looks. Then go ride the Carousel or Dumbo and look up at where you had eaten, you should be able to see the windows!

We're a family of 3 adults. Last December we had a late dinner in the castle and had a great time. The food isn't memorable, but it's the atmosphere and the fun of eating in a castle. Also, we had a view of the fireworks. It's not the best view and I recommend seeing them from Main Street on a different night, but they dim the lights and we enjoyed seeing them through the stained glass windows.

The Princesses (or characters at a different venue) will visit your table and give you as much or as little attention as you wish. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
