Im thinking of adding a Character Breakfast to our ADR's for my "Mommy & Me Trip" in early May. What would you suggest for us?

Im thinking it should be for our MGM day since we dont' have to rush around very much that day so we don't need to be at MGM for RD like on the other days. Our only other ADR that day is dinner at Kona Cafe at 7:40 pm. So we could stay in MGM till late afternoon that day.

I think it all depends on what characters you prefer and if you want a meal that is a buffet or served family-style. We are doing a total of 3 character meals on our trip in April, but we are also taking a 4 yo son with us. Only one of them is a breakfast and that is at O'Hana with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto.

There's a wide variety of character breakfasts to chose from including Pooh & friends to princesses, to classic Disney (ie. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto). There are also other character breakfasts that have Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Little Einstens, JoJo's Circus.

Hope this helps a little. I do know that it is very difficult to get into Chef Mickey's as I tried to get ADR's almost 120 days out for 3 people and the earliest breakfast time was at 11 am! That's almost lunchtime for DS!

Dh and I go to Ohana character breakfast. The food is good and the characters are really good too. Last time dh and I went Stitch threw dh's hat on the floor and went let me go. You get to see Stitch, Lilo, Mickey and Pluto.

I think we'd both prefer one with the original characters involved in it. I was originally considering Tusker House on Tuesday, but I also have a lunch ADR for Yak & Yeti and we're going to see La Nouba that night so that's a lot going on that day. That's why I was thinking Thursday, the MGM day being the best day.

I looked at the Castle one but that's SO pricey - I just can't justify it. haha Chef Mickey's was an idea I had. How's the one at the Beach Club resort?
Since we have other ADR's made for lunches or suppers, I'd really like this one to be a breakfast. But a good one... I don't want to pay $20/pp for crappy standard buffet food. You know?

I looked at Ohanas but we're already eating dinner at the Poly that same night at Kona Cafe...

Im still on the fence about whether to do this or not. But I think my mom might get a kick out of it! And it'd be fun for silly photo ops! haha

My absolute favorite character meal is at the Crystal Palace. Great food & interaction here.

Chef Mickey's is good for breakfast and I hear the Cape May Cafe is also good. Both have characters. The Cape May Cafe may work out, then you can grab the boat to DHS.

Cape May's Character breakfast has a great variety of food. It is a must do for us everytrip. You can take a boat from there to the studios. The characters are in their beach attire, Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale. Great Character interaction in this location and it has a more laid back feel - I have never felt rushed here like I have at Chef Mickey's.

Have a great time which ever you decide!

I would suggest Cape May, Ohana or wherever it is offered in the AK (used to be Donald's Breakfastasaurus) for Adults. You will be overwhelmed by small children at any of the Princess breakfasts, or 1900 Park Fair. I have heard about adults who were happy at Crystal Palace with Pooh, because the hordes of children were mostly very young.

UPDATE: Im going to try for an ADR at Cape May thanks to all your advice! If they're booked on that day, then I'll look into changing my lunch at Yak & Yeti to a breakfast at Tusker House on the other day instead. Thank you so much for your patience!!

Ok I keep staring at the menus and my itinerary and think I've narrowed it down to Tusker House character breakfast or Cape May Cafe character Breakfast. Here's my quick itinerary:

5/5: arrive 1:30pm. check in POFQ. Go to Epcot WS. Eat dinner CS there. stay for illuminations.
5/6: AK for RD. ADR at Yak & Yeti 12pm. Secretly treating mom to La Nouba this night! :thumbsup2 6 pm. dinner cs or at hotel.
5/7: Epcot FW for RD. ADR at Le Cellier 12:50 pm. Evening/night at MK. CS dinner. Stay for Wishes 9 pm.
5/8: MGM. ADR for dinner at Kona Cafe 7:40 pm. (mom hasn't been since we went as a family in 1986. we stayed at the poly. so we're going to hang out here for a while and hopefully see the water parade and wishes from the beach this night!)
5/9: Last day. Drop off luggage. Hit either MK or Epcot - mom's choice. Leave for POFQ for 2 pm. Estimating Magic Express will pick us up at 3:30 for our 6:30 pm flight.

So...

OPTION 1: Tuesday- I can either cancel my Yak & Yeti ADR in favor of a Tusker House character breakfast. The food at Tusker House looks yummy and different from the standard buffet fare. We were excited about trying the new Yak & Yeti but Im not sure about the menu. Is this option worth the change?

OPTION 2: Thursday- this is a more laid back day. We could make a reservation for Cape May and then take the boat over to MGM for the day after we eat. Neither of us has ever been to the Beach Club resort so this would be another reason to go here. But the menu looks like standard blah breakfast fare. Is it better than the menu states?

Ok now which should I choose? haha Thanks again! :worship:
I have taken note of all the votes for Cape May which is why I was leaning in that direction.
