We have two DD's who will be 1 and 4 (turning 5 while at DW!) on our next trip to the world. Our 4 year old DD has already been to DW twice and we've had a character breakfast at Crystal Palace, which she loved, but now she says "Pooh and friends" are for babies. Since it will be her birthday while we are there, I'd love to take her to a character breakfast geared more for older girls ~ maybe princesses etc?

Any ideas?

I would recommend the Princess Storybook breakfast in Norway. Its got a bunch of different princesses. Last time we went, they had Snow White, Belle, Mulan, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty. Decent food too.
We are going again in a few weeks!

W/out a doubt you have to take her to Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle. It is well worth every single minute of calling and waiting to see if you can get in. Not to mention worth every penny. The food is good. not the best on property but not to quote a Mastercard commercial "Priceless" to see your DD face as she dines w/ the Princess in Cinderella's castle. This is the one thing our DD talks about all the time. And when I ask her what one thing she has to do when we go back it's always eat in the castle. You won't be sorry!

I agree with the above poster- take her to the castle breakfast for her birthday. It is beyond a shadow of a doubt my dd's favorite thing at WDW. She is 8 now and when we told them we were planning a trip, the first thing she asked was if Cinderella was going to 'invite' us to eat with her in the castle again. The last trip she was 5 and we did the castle and Norway's breakfast, while Norway served the purpose of meeting Jasmine, it did not compare in any of our eyes to the castle. DD was glad to eat there, don't get me wrong, but her reaction was not even close to that of the castle. And, she hasn't asked if we are eating there again. If she is really into princesses, nothing beats eating in the castle with Cinderella. DD asked to see her bedroom last time- I told her only Tinkerbell was allowed up there and that was only to fly at night. Of course, now there is the suite. Anyway, play it up big. Tell her she got an invitation from Cinderella over the phone (or print one out). Tell her Cinderella likes to invite her princess friends for breakfast and several princesses will be there- you never know who b/c they don't all come every day. She will be in Heaven. We are going again in Jan. If you can, try to get an early seating before the park opens. We have an 8:20- meaning the first 'seating'. The first actual time is 8:05, but the first 'seating' in the dining room can all be seated as soon as they let you in. It is so cool to walk down Main Street with it practically empty. That is special too.
BTW- I was so afraid my kids wouldn't want to eat with Pooh and Friends too. DS is 6 and DD8, but, thank goodness, they still want to eat there. It is dh and I's favorite buffet food!:goodvibes

I suggest you dress her up in her princess outfit (or surprise her with it at the resturant; we changed in the royal bathroom). And you could add on the Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique treatment just prior to eating (They are opening 1 at the MK castle in September.

We took our 3 and 10 year old nieces to the Princess Breakfast in Norway and they loved it. We had an 8:35 ressie and we were the first ones seated. The put us in the back left of the restaurant by the kitchen door. There is a brown wood door there too and that is where the Princesses come out so the girls were the first ones to see Aurora, Ariel and Mulan. Belle in her yellow gown was in the lobby greeting people and taking pictures. I think there was one more Princess to come but after seeing Ariel the 3 year old was good to go.

DH and I have done many character meals but this one was the greatest for interaction, the girls had the greatest time. The food was very good too and when we left the restaurant we made a beeline to Soarin, very little wait time.

CRT is amazing. I had lunch in the castle for my birthday, and it was a lot of fun. Plus the food is good.

If she enjoys the princesses, which most little girls do I expect, the Princess Storybook Breakfast seems the perfect idea. If not princesses, perhaps Lilo and Stitch at the Polynesian.
