Character Breakfast Disappointment

I did have a similar experience in December 2013. However I also had one of the most amazing character meals I've ever had there in June 2011 so I'm willing to write it off as an off day. In my case a Stitch left off at the table before ours and then disappeared and reappeared only for the dancing and started on the far side of the restaurant our amazing server tried his best and sent the character handler over but when Stitch came back to our side of the restaurant he started at the table after us in the rotation. I complained again and they finally sent him back to us.

Sorry to hear about your experience, I had been thinking about doing surfs up, but am going back to Plaza Inn instead.

We had an early reservtion last time at Plaza Inn, but ended up outside. That seemed worse for character interaction than inside. We saw Tigger come out on the porch, but he went inside before coming to our table. Well, our then barely 2 yr old got so excited about tigger and then didn't get to meet him, so I had my husband nicely ask a cast member if Tigger could come back to our table. They were so nice about it and sure enough Tigger came right out--and my daughter immediately burst into tears, was scared, and wouldn't meet him! that will teach us to complain...

Honestly, if you are going to do a character breakfast, the best bang for your buck is Plaza Inn, they offer more characters than any other character breakfast venue and are the least expensive.

I agree that Plaza Inn is still the best character meal going. We have had several great experiences, and one less than great one. On our last trip we agreed to be seated outdoors for the first time ever, and felt like we had to beg for every character that finally came our way. Inside on prior trips was just fine.

Just know going into it that you might not see every single character that you see out and about. But after a couple trips meeting 9 or 10 characters, I'd still go back again.
