Character Breakfast: Cape May, Tusker House or Both?

We usually have a quick breakfast in our room, and then get to the parks in for rope drop. Our next trip is a full week in February, and my husband and two younger boys would appreciate a full breakfast at least once, as long as it does not interfere with rope drop. (Our oldest son doesn't care much about breakfast, but still loves the characters.)

So I booked ADRs at 8am for Tusker House on an AK morning (9am AK opening) and 7:30am at Cape May on a DHS morning (9am DHS opening.) We're staying at BC again, so Cape May is easy.

Any thoughts about which one to keep, or does anyone recommend both?

I have never done Tusker House breakfast but recently ate at Cape May for the breakfast buffet December 2009. It was great and the character interaction was great as well.

Here's a few pictures from our experience.

I would do both if I were you. Tusker is awesome! We haven't been to Cape May for Breakfast yet, but we will be this November. I love the above pics and they make me glad I chose it.

We really enjoyed the breakfast at Tusker House. We booked Cape May Cafe for our upcoming trip. I think with those times, I would try to do both so you're still at the parks bright and early but get to enjoy the meals too.

We have been to both and LOVE Tusker House Breakfast buffet...its a must for every Disney trip we go. We liked Cape may and enjoyed breakfast there too. I would keep both and enjoy...your at Disney and your kids would love it. If you have to chose only one....go to Tusker House (the juice is amazing)

I love both Cape May and Tusker House for breakfast, but if I had to choose, I would keep Tusker House. I think the food is a little better at Tusker House.

We are doing both on our upcoming trip. We have done both many times and love them. I'm sure your family will have a wonderful experience at both.

:santa::santa::santa:

Thanks so much to everyone for the responses - we're sold! We'll keep both.

Cajunwdwfan, wonderful pictures - thank you! Despite our recent stays at BC, I haven't been to Cape May since we celebrated my brother's 13th birthday there nearly 20 years ago! So I appreciate the updated and detailed photos!

It's good that you decided to keep both. Tusker House food is so much better but Cape May does have great character interaction.

I agree with Pakey.

The food at Cape May was good, similar to other character breakfasts...however the character interaction was great. Much more time to do pictures. Plus our wait staff was great. Our waitress took individual and group photos with us and every character that came through. At 7:30 in the morning there should be a light crowd so you should have even more time with the characters. ;)

I liked the food better at Tusker house and their juice was delicious. But the breakfast is a lot busier so the characters only stop by quickly. There is a cute musical parade that they do throughout the restaurant. All of the kids can grab instruments and join the parade with the characters.

I think you made a great choice in keeping both as I think they are two of the better (if not the best) character breakfast buffets on property.

We'll be there for breakfast on the 15th, we have eaten dinner there before but this will be our first time for breakfast. Thanks for posting the pic's now the others are excited about it..:thumbsup2

Since you're staying at BC, Cape May would be convenient.

I'm an advocate of late character breakfasts in the park. I would schedule Tusker House for a late breakfast to take get to RD & tour without being so full- have a snack in the room. Then, your ADR would serve as your lunch meal.

What Characters appear at the Tusker house breakfast? I searched the forums and can't find the answer! Thanks!!
