Character Breakfast cancellation policy

Am I correct in my reading of the phrase "Your card will only be charged in the event that your party does not show up for the reservation," to mean that the card will not be charged if I cancel before the date? I don't plan on canceling, but want to know for reference and reassurance.


--------nevermind---------this thread can be deleted. I saw at the bottom in the guest policy section that there is a 1 day/ $10 fee for cancellations.

Ah, okay..that is significantly more, but it is that you have until 1 day before to cancel, correct?

You can cancel by phone any time up to midnight the night before and not be charged.

For example, if you are cancelling Thursday's breakfast (or lunch, or dinner), then you need to do so by calling in before midnight on Wednesday night.

Are you sure it's midnight? I've read here that it was 11 pm EST (when the dining phone line closes) and others have said it's 24-hours before your reservation time. It would be great it it was midnight (I suppose it's actually 11:59:59 pm), but I haven't been able to find anything definitive on the Disney website.
