About the character breakfast at cafe la bamba, after we buy it at the universal site, do i have to call them to reserve, or can i do the reservation at opentable? I don't live in US, so calling may be a little troublesome....

It does say you have to call to confirm the reservation so I assume yes you will have to.

I know one of my friends booked it for her family last year and they did have to call and confirm. It took a few minutes of her time calling from the UK.

Can't help with open table as we don't ever make reservations.

I thought about that, but was afraid to not have my date available. Does it get too crowded? Is it easy to get a reservation that close to the date?

You can book online, then call to confirm when you arrive in Orlando......it says confirm up to 24 hours before your time........
