We just booked our magical gathering for Sept. One of the special offerings is a charcter breakfast at Tony's. I can't find too much information about it. It says Mickey & friends will be there. Does anyone know what other charcters are there? We loved Chef Mickey's on our last trip. Has anyone ever gone to the breakfast at Tony's? How did you like it? If it's not any better than Chef mickey's then I think we'll just stick with that, but thought that since Tony's is only open for magical gatherings that it might be smaller with more character interaction. Thanks!

There is no "every day" character breakfast at Tony's. There might be a grand gathering event, but no normal character breakfast at Tony's.

From what I can read, the OP has said exactly that - it is offered for magical gatherings (used to be called grand gatherings).

OP, I have read a couple of reviews that I recall as we were thinking of doing this too. I will try to search them out although it may take a little while with the search function out of use.

ETA - quite an old thread here but gives you some idea of what to expect

Will try to find some more

My family and I did this Grand Gathering Event a few years ago. Families are seated at tables around the resturant. The characters come around and spend time at each table. ( quite a bit of time ) The characters we saw were Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Chip, Dale and Mickey. The kids had a blast! ( and so did the adults ) The food was surprisingly good!

Sorry...read it too fast and misunderstood.

If I'm not mistaken, when Crystal Palace was renovated a few years ago, the Pooh character temporarily moved to Tony's for at least breakfast. I don't remember if they did lunch and dinner or not though.

Have a wonderful trip! :)

Thanks wilma-bride for the link. I think after checking it out I'll stick with Chef Mickey's. It was really a highlight of the trip the last time we went. We did the last breakfast seating (I think it was around 11:30) so it wasn't crowded at all. We got a ton of time with the characters and everyone really loved the food. We told our boys last night about the trip and they want to do everything the same as last time. We won't do EVERYTHING the same, but I think not doing Chef Mickey's would be a disappointment for them. Thanks again!

We are doing the same - although last trip we had an early breakfast at Crystal Palace. This year, we are thinking of trying Chef Mickeys as my 6-year old DS would LOVE to get ice-cream at breakfast ;)
