Just when we thought we'd seen all the possible character meal questions. :)

We eat eggs, dairy, just not meat. So it'll be (mickey?) waffles and pancakes and eggs, fruit...who does that the best buffet? Or are they all the same when it comes to non-meat offerings?

Do any of the restaurants have secret stashes of Morningstar Farms products? Now THAT would be a dream. :)

Are there any b'fasts that are more meat-heavy than others? We've both been veggie long enough that we're over the public-displays-of-disgust, but if there's a meal that has less meat on the buffet line, it would of course please us. :upsidedow

Thoughts? We have only one character meal with our package, we are doing a breakfast, and want to have a good one!

We did the Minnie breakfast and Chip and Dale. Both were buffet and had about the same things. I had lots of fruit, yogurt, of course a waffle, and I noticed there were muffins, scrambled eggs and french toast.

Neither had too much meat that I saw (I always hate to look at the carving ham type things). The only meat I noticed were bacon and sausage which were both adequately far enough from the other foods. There were some other meat food things but they were in a different section of the buffet so I just skipped past them.

Have fun!

Its a toss up. The all offer the foods you are looking for. I would guess Goofys would be the most meat heavy I've seen. In addition to the breakfast meats they have chicken, salmon, carved beef and ham. But, on the flip side they also offer more along the lines of salads, fancy desserts, etc. So, I wouldnt say that its out just because of the meat offerings.

Character wise we like Minnies.

We are toying with Storytellers,it seems to have better food but not as great characters. We are lacto ovo,so I'm thinking the eggs benny without the ham(one of my faves is with a slice of tomato instead),pancakes, waffles, fruit, breakfast potatoes AND I haven't seen any tofu products(except veggie burgers),which is sad because in this day and age there are plenty of options for us but no one willing to offer it! Good luck and I'll let ya know how we did in the parks with the non meat eating! Have a fun time:thumbsup2

I think they would all be about even. They all have omlette stations so if you eat eggs that is a plus since they have plenty of veggies to add to the omlette. I think Minnie's has the smallest selection of fruit of any of them however. I would say Goofy's might have the most to offer in general. But they are all great fun and have plenty of non meat items. The one at Paradise Pier has some Hawaiin offerings like rice which was sort of nice (dd is a big rice lover). Goofy's also has the peanut butter and jelly pizza which some people love. All but Minnie's serve oatmeal if that is important to you (Minnie's did not have oatmeal in June when we went). They are all four a lot of fun with good food. You can't make a bad choice!

Im not veggie, so Im just adding my 2 cents. The Storytellers was a big bummer. I cant even remember the food honestly, but the character interaction was terrible. We did Lilo and Stitch also and it was GREAT! You order off the menu, (I think they did have a buffett as well) but my mickey waffle with berries was TDF! I am sure you could order a custom cheese mushroom spinach omlette! My kids have french toast, my hubby did have a denver which has ham... but again, it's off the menu, so his ham wasnt bumping into my berries! ;)

I'm a vegetarian and we just had breakfast at Storyteller's Cafe this morning. I had the egg white omelet with spinach, tomatoes, and basil, and it was delicious. My husband (not a vegetarian) had the same thing and said it was one of the best omelets he's ever had. Our DS15 (not a vegetarian) had the buffet and thought it was great. He gave me a couple of his strawberries (my favorite food) and they were so, so sweet and delicious...yummy! Everything he had from the buffet was fresh and well prepared.

Our character interaction was pretty good - we had a great visit with Dale, a lot of fun and laughs, and the usual stop-and-take-pictures visit with Meeko, Chip, and the big bear from Brother Bear (can't remember his name). There was a cast member who led a couple of the activities, and he was so funny. He came around to all the tables, and he had my DS cracking up. All the other cast members were also very pleasant and efficient.

We want to try the character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen, but we definitely plan on going back to Storyteller's Cafe again.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and experiences!

As usual, it all sounds good. :)
