character breakfast and dd plan

We are going to port orleans in three weeks for 14 days, our son is 6 on sept 2nd and we have decided to have a character breakfast at chef mickeys at the contemporary resort ,but we have not booked it

can we book this when we get to the hotel? or will it be to late as we dont arrive till aug 31st

also can we book disney dining plan for 7 days instead of 14 as we will visiting other parks outside diney? can we book this when we get there?

Pretty sure you have to pre-book the Disney Dining Plan, so if you want to do it, do it now. Depending on who you have booked with though, you may not be able to add it at all unfortunately, as not all Travel Agents offer this.

If it is for your son's birthday so you want a specific day I would definitely book in advance. Chances are you might be able to book when you get there, but it might be worth the 5 minute phone caqll to know you have got it secured, so to speak

ETA: Have just thought that September 2nd is a) a Saturday and b) during Labor Day weekend when it is likely to be busy. I would definitely pre-book
