Character Autographs

Hello recent cruisers,
I have read on several sites that if you bring an item to be autographed, and sharpies, you can get autographs from the Disney characters during your cruise. However, I found another post recently that said this service has been discontinued. Can anyone confirm one way or the other? Has anyone recently tried to get autographs while on a Disney cruise?

Yes you can do it - but you have to go to all meet all the characters you want autographs from and take it with you.

Back in the day you could drop it off at guest services and it would be done for you - that is what was discontinued quite a while ago now.

Just make sure it's laid out in a way that those characters can easily sign quickly (flat, large area, supported). And they will try and keep it to one item per person.

I was wondering the same thing as I had a t-shirt signed by the characters years ago. Sorry to hear that you can't drop off items at Guest Services any longer. We booked a honeymoon cruise for our son and I was going to give them an item to have signed this way. Son and wife are not the types that would stand in line for character autographs so I thought this would be a great way memento of their trip. I'm sad this isn't offered anymore.

Blame the internet. So many people heard about it there were so many things being dropped off to be signed that it was turning into mire full-time jobs - and since people were already giving up free time to do it, that just wasn't fair for them.
