Character autographs tip

Skip the autograph book. Buy a new Disney t-shirt and get your autographs on it. You will need to help the characters hold the shirt flat so they can sign but they are very willing to sign the shirts. We just returned from WDW and did not see anyone else with autograph shirts but heard a lot of comments from people about what a neat idea it was. The kids will get the wear the autographs where with the book they may or may not be able to play with it again.

NOTE: They do NOT sell Sharpie markers at WDW. You will need to bring your own.

The kids plan to wear them and show off to their friends.

I don't think they ever did anything with their old autograph books.

That's a great idea! I just added a sharpie marker to our packing list. I KNOW that autograph books would just get misplaced or put away and forgotten about when we get home.

Just a suggestion regarding sharpie markers and fabric. We used them in my daughter's Kindergarten class and they really don't hold up too well once you wash the shirt. A fabric marker would be a better idea, they do have fat ones at the craft store. These also tend to wash out after awhile, I think there is a way you can set it by using a hot iron before washing. We like to do the white baseball hats, because they don't get washed.

Also try bringing a flattened cereal box to slip in the shirt so the pen doesn't bleed through to the other side.

just another suggestion ~ Hats, and a Laundry marker! I've never seen Laundry marker "markings" ever fade! They are also wider markers with wider tips, should be just as good for characters!

Just back from 8 wonderful days at Disney World.
We too got signatures on a t-shirt, but we used an embroidery ring to hold the shirt and give the characters a flat, smooth writing surface. The castmembers were very impressed and it worked great

I love the idea of autographing t-shirts and thanks for the hoop tip! But what are laundry markers and where do I find them?
