Character ADR / Entry to Park...I should know this, but I don't!

Can you tell me what occurs if you have an ADR at a restaurant inside a park and the park is closed due to it having reached capacity? Will you be allowed inside? On our last trip, I know we were let in EARLY before park opening when we had an ADR inside the park, but wondered if they do the same for having an ADR and park has reached its limit? I am thinking of several ADRs we may have during the holidays for dinners inside the parks, but I don't necessarily want to stay ALL day in the park to have them....anyone know info on this situation?

If the parks are closed due to capacity, then no one is allowed in even if you have ADR's. There are several people who get upset at Christmas because of this. Generally the CM's will remind you that you need to be in the park early to ensure that you can get to your seating on time. The same rule applies even if you had to pay a deposit on the meal.

Not sure. I know that if you have a breakfast adr before the park opens they will let you in ahead of time.

That is a different situation from trying to get in if the park is closed due to capacity. An ADR - even one that is prepaid or has a cancellation charge will not get you into a park that has been closed due to capacity.

Wow, I didn't realize that you couldn't get into the park even if you had an ADR. I have an ADR at CP for Thanksgiving. I specifically asked this question to the CM and she told me that as long as I had my reservation number, they would allow me in. Now I guess I have to change things around.
