Hello-
I emailed Chapman to inquire about photo prices and packages maybe Thurs. I have not heard back and I know he is probably busy but I am anxious do any of you know? I am a custom, is the price close to disney. I am on the fence but feel like I may need disney for minimum but if his prices are not outrageous then I could add something else and use him? Help!

I private messaged you a list of his prices (the list is from back in august though but is probably still pretty similar). I think he seems very fairly priced especially if you compare the amount of hours you get with him to disney's photographers. And he's gotten such good reviews that I can't wait to use him!

We are using Randy Chapman, and this is a listing of his prices (with a short description for each category)
Package 1 - $575.00 : up to 3 hours coverage, 150 plus photos. 1-11x14, plus master CD with all photos

Package 2 -$1,700 : up to 7 hours coverage, preview albums of all photos taken. Unlimited photos, plus black and white, 1 11x14 photo and compressed CD with all pictures taken,

Package 3 - $2,175 : 24 page leather album, with multiple size photos for storybook wedding, preview albums that have all photos, 8 hours coverage and unlimited photos, appr 600 or more 4x5's, 1 16x20 photo, 2 11x14's, plus master CD, formal engagment session of black and white prints may be added for an additional 75.00 each

Package 4 - $2,675.00 : 30 page leather album, preview album with all photos taken, 1 16x20 photo, 2 11x14's, 2 parent albums each with 20 4x5's, 100 wallet photos for thank you cards , engagement or pre-bridal session on location of your choice, plus black and white photos, also master cd

Package 5 - $3,150.00 : 40 page leather album, preview album with all photos taken, 1 16x20, 2 11x14's, 2 parent albums with 30 4x5's, 50 wallet pics for thank you cards, engagement or bridal session on location of your choice, includes 1 signature mat for the reception, black and white photos included, plus master cd.




Phew....That was alot!! Hope that helps!! I booked Randy, and am doing package #2 ($1,700.00) It offers everything we needed for our special day.

Ok- I need help...Are the prices for Disney that much higher than Chapman from what I can tell it seems like Chapman is much better priced, I guess I need to know what the compressed cd allows me to do. Then some of the disney are 5 grand. I asked my em about it but she said we would go over the packages at the ps which is not until May and I may need to book sooner. It just really seems like Disney is much higher and you get less, can someone help me. Also I thought I may have read someplace that if you use disney photo and video you get a discount, how much and is this true?

I had looked at backing out of Disney Photographic Services hours into the 30 day window. At this point, I am so, so, so happy that we were unable to. The package we were most interested in with Randy was about $1,000 less than the Disney package we had selected. What you have to remember with Disney is the cost of other things after the fact:

-Do you want to buy the high-res disk now or wait for 3 years until the price drops?
-What is the difference between Chapman and Disney as far as ordering photos after the event?
-How important is it to you that you own the rights to your photos? How important is he MK photo shoot? Note: I know you must have a Disney wedding to have the photo shoot. What I am unsure about is whether you must use Disney for the photos at your wedding, as well. I am hoping someone else can clarify for you.
-How many companion albums are you likely to need and want? What are the extra fees associated for purchasing those not included in your package?

I am unsure about any talk of a discount of the photos and video. There may be a discount in comparison to the costs of other functions (like conventions) held at Disney.

You do not need to use Disney Photo Services for your wedding/vow renewal in order to have an MK photo shoot. You must use Disney Photo Services for your MK photo shoot.

If you use Disney for photo and video the discount is 10% (at least that's what it was last year) on both services.

Our impression was similar to yours. With Randy we got a lot more for what we paid. And we knew months in advance who would be photographing our wedding which was very important to us. While we did have a few issues with Randy after the wedding, our experience with DPS at our MK photo shoot reaffirmed that we made the right decision for us. Good luck deciding!

I also emailed him on Thursday and got a response back yesterday (Sunday). I was thrilled with his answer!! Unfortunately, I don't think I can convince my hubby to do a full Disney VR for our 10th anniversary. Instead, I am still planning the trip with a fun dinner and hopefully a Wishes Cruise. I asked Chapman about a family photo session and was quoted $250 which includes 80 4x5 pics and one 11x14, then can add the CD seperately. I am so gonna do this if hubby won't buck up for a whole VR!!!
