how cool. maybe we'll run into each other at one of the many scrapbook stores or the chantilly convention. Pam lives about 15 minutes west of the village. maggie
the convention is june 18-19 over at the convention center in chantilly va and costs 9$ to get in. There are classes (most of which are probably full but check the webstie) and a ton of cool shopping! I'm volunteering on friday from 1:45-8pm and then joining pam at the friday crop, and I'm shopping on saturday. Would love to meet up with y'all! maggie
I'll be there on Saturday as well. I do have to go out of town on Friday for business, but I am hoping to get an early flight back on Satruday, so I plan on going straight to the expo center.
Oh I thought it was that weekend! I'm leaving my kids for the first time overnight to go Water rafting with my DH for his bday. I know he will not want to rush back in order for me to "Buy" more scrapping stuff. Shucks!
My LSS is running a bus trip. They will all be warring light green T shirts with Second Floor Scrapbook and rubber stamp Store on the back. I wish I were going but I have to work. Have fun
I just went to the GASC in Arlington, TX last week and had some wonderful classes. I really enjoyed the Making Memories classes - both "Beyond Attachments" and "Beyond Metal". MM is a very generous company too. We got tons of supplies to work with, like full packages of rub-ons and charms, and only seemed to use one or two out of each package so lots to bring home. I also took "Magical Memories with EK Success" and loved the projects we did - frame, couple of 12x12 pages, and as a take home project an autograph book. We used lots of the new Jolee's Disney 3-D stickers and Phrase Cafe' stickers. Again, plenty of extras to take home.
Those are my recommendations if you're interested in taking any classes. Have fun there whatever you decide.
