changing username?

I decided to register on the board after reading for awhile and discovered I have an old account from 2004 from when we were planning our Ft. Wilderness trip!

Is there a way to change my username to something more disney-like from the original pick in 2004?

There is not. But you can just go ahead and start a new account with the username you would like. You will need to use a different email account than this one.

Mmm... is there a way to cancel this old account so I can still use my regular email address? (Would canceling take my current email address out of the system so that I may use it with a new username>)

We can't cancel accounts. What you can do is go ahead and switch your current account to another email address (you can easily get one from hotmail or gmail). Make sure you check your current account because you will have to verify the change. Then you can use your original email account to start the new account. You will need to clear your DIS cookies before you start the new account.
