Changing Trip Dates

We are considering changing trip dates. Right now we are scheduled to go the second week in December. If we change to the last week in January, how does that work? Will our deposit just change to those dates? And if we wait a couple weeks for new codes to come out (traditionally come out the end of September), can we apply that discount to an already reserved room where the code applies?

Yes, you can change your dates and keep the same reservation number as well as the already paid deposit. If the room rate is higher than what you have already paid, you will need to pay the difference in one night's deposit, if you have a room only booked.

If you want a discounted room and it is available to book on the dates and for the room type that you have/want then you can get your reservation changed to that discounted room as well.

Note that you can easily change a room only, either dates or room type/rate, to another room only. Also, you can change a package to a different package. However, you will have to cancel and rebook if you want to change from a RO to a package or vice versa. Your deposit would then have to be refunded and a new deposit placed on the new reservation.

Yes, it's always possible that the room you have reserved is not part of the discount inventory and, if so, the discount won't apply. Personally, I would wait for the discounts to come out and see what's in the inventory and then make the switch.

1. As long as you are just modifying the reservation and keeping it as a room only or package depending on which you currently have, you'll keep the same reservation number and the deposit can be applied to the new dates. If you change from room only to a package or vice versa, the current deposit iwill be refunded and a new deposit charged because room only and packages are booked through different departments.
2. As long as the resort and room category are included in the new offer and there is availability when you call it can be applied. It is not an automatic application, however, so you will have to call to have it applied.

It's possible that your room category might not be included or is already fully booked when you call, so then you would have to decide whether you want to change to something that is included or not.
