Changing rooms

DW and I decided to go last minute (today) to WDW for Valentines weekend. There are NO studios for Saturday night so we are in a studio(save points) on Friday and a 1 BR Saturday (hot tub ). We're probably going to just take it easy Saturday anyway, we have annual passes to IOA and Universal so may wander up there. I don't know yet how to handle changing rooms. I guess we'd just pack up and load the car Sat morning but I'd like to have the room handled at a decent hour for Sat night. I "think" I can get a key maybe when I check out that morning for the 1 BR and then get a room assignment later that day so I don't have to go back to check-in? Any thoughts or other ideas? We're driving down.

You can check in to the one bedroom early on Saturday morning. The room itself will most likely not be ready, but as you thought, you can still get a key and the number to call later in the day for the room number. You can either store your luggage in the car or with bell services.

You can handle check-in and if your room is not ready, they give you a number to call for your room assignment. You will have the key but you won't know the actual number in advance.
