Changing Rooms to Get Rate

We had previously booked our ressies in Sept 03 and got the AP for the first time. We are staying at POP. I called the day the rates came out only to find out that the AP rates are already gone for POP. Per this lovely board's advice, I called back several times and a CM checked by date for me. Some of the dates when we are there are available for the AP rate but not all days and they are split up. The CM was saying we would have to make 3 ressies and may not keep the same room. We got a rate with the Visa and just don't know if it would be worth the time and confusion to change rooms and check in and out. Has anyone else ever done this? If so, was there any issues or problems? (we also use our keys as charge cards as well)

We had a a different rate at WL during our Thanksgiving trip (and so did my mom). In our room request that we faxed and at check-in, we asked if it were possible not to change rooms. NO problem! The morning we wre supposed to "check-out" we just went down to the front desk and the whole process took about 2 minutes. At Pop you could just do it when you go for your coffee run.
