Changing Roles in DCP

So I've just been accepted and paid my fees to enter the DCP for the Fall Advantage 2014. Now, I know that sometimes or most of time a DCP'er does not get the role the would like. I applied for three roles I ranked high which was Attractions, Hospitality, and Character Attendant. QSR Food & Beverage was in my medium. I ended up getting QSR F&B.

Now here's the thing, I have already worked at Disney as a Part Timer, and still do as a seasonal cast member. I joined the DCP as my last adventure in Disney before I separate from the company, and move on.

On May 14, 2014 I'll have 3 years with the Company. 1 year in F&B and 2 years in Attractions. I really was looking forward to do something different for the DCP. I was hoping for a role that would use my Disney knowledge as well. Is there a possibility I can change my role if I speak to one my leaders when I meet them? And perhaps they could help me?

You cannot change roles. It is part of the agreement and even in your phone interview, the interviewer would have said, "Any role you have marked as any interest in, Low, Medium, or High interest will be considered as a role for you. Is this okay?" They would have said that after they have already read to you the roles that you had any interest in. It doesn't matter that you didn't have it in your top roles or what you marked it as. It doesn't matter how long you've been with the company either. You signed up for the Disney College Program and that includes the rules they set for everyone else. If they give you the exception, they will have to do it for every other person who doesn't want QSFB because they want something different. I'm sorry if this comes off mean in any way, its not my intention at all. It is just how it works.You could try for another role spring 2015, good luck.
