It's been a while since I did a split stay but POFQ was double CSR for my last night. Can you still arrange to have your bags moved even if you're not in the room?

Thanks!

They will not deliver them to your room, you have to call from the room. As far as picking them up, I wouldn't think they would do that either.

I don't mind calling or whatever on the CSR end but have big plans for the early AM on moving day. I'm positive that I've had them pick up our bags from the room for transfer in the past. Will Bell Services pick up my bags for if I call around, say, 6:30 AM or do I have to lug them down there myself? I'm a serious over packer!

They'll come that early. We've done split stays and we usually get up and go around the same time. I doubt they would come get them when you're not in the room, and I wouldn't want them to anyway. What if they miss something? I'm the person that checks the room 3 times before leaving in case something gets missed.

Bell services will definitely pick up and deliver but you do have to be in the room for both and sometimes it can take a while. We often bring our bags to bell services and drop them off in the morning to save time and call to have them delivered after checking into the new resort.

We have had our bags moved from resort to resort many times and always had good service but don't expect your bags to be at your new resort until at least check in time.

Also, it is often mid to late afternoon until your bags are at the new resort. Like 3 - 4 PM. If you need anything sooner than that, you might want to pack it in a backpack & keep it with you.

Thanks, everyone! I won't even be checking in at CSR until the late evening so an afternoon delivery would be fine :)

I did a google search and saw a suggestion that I schedule a luggage pick up the night before I want it. Has anyone heard of this?

In our opinion, we like to move our bags ourselves to the new resort. DH had valuable camera equipment "get lost" with resort to resort move once. We got our luggage but not that with rest of the bags. We have also had other peoples luggage delivered to our room and it was sitting there when we got back??. If we ever do another split stay we will carry luggage with us via cab and check in to new resort, store with bell services, then when we get back to room have luggage brought up. Worth the cab ride cost to be sure luggage is at the resort with a face and name with ticket when we placed it with them. JMHO.

I typically call Bell Services the night before to schedule a time to pick up our luggage when we have a split stay. When I do this, I've never had to wait for them. They have always shown up 5-10 min early.

No I haven't! But when I've phoned for Bell Service pick up they've always been prompt. At POR they come with a Surrey Cart and will drive both you and your luggage to front of the resort. I doubt at that early hour they would be busy, but as you have early plans it couldn't hurt to schedule the night before.
