Changing resort reservation from Disney Spring to On-site

Hello,

we currently have a room booked at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace resort in the Disney Springs area, this allowed us to have access to fast pass selection 60 days in advance. Note, our tickets for the parks were purchased separately from the hotel. We now found a good rate for the Disney Port Orleans French Quarter Resort which is a Disney hotel. So we are thinking of booking there and canceling the Hilton reservation. Would this effect our fast pass selections?

To clarify, we are going from an off site hotel that has the perks of a Disney resort to a Disney owned resort and would like to know if cancelling will affect my fast pass selections.

No, it will not. But to be over cautious, I would book the Port Orleans French Quarter reservation and then cancel the Hilton Buena Vista Palace reservation once you see the POFQ in your MDE account.

We also. Note, your DS reservation will remain in your MDE account after cancellation. Even WDW IT can't remove it. Don't concern yourself with it.
