changing reservations

My family and I are to close on a property in SSR within the next few days. Our uy is June, so once we receive our number we will reserve dates for late June 2009 at SSR.
My question is at the seven month mark, before we plan to attend, could we cancel that reservation and create another at AKL, OKW, or the BWV's if they have something open.

Don't cancel until you know something else is available. Simply call Member Services at the 7-month mark and ask about other properties you are interested in. If what you want is available they will switch the reservation for you.

And you do know that just because you have a June use year it doesn't mean that you have to use your points for stays during the month of June, right? You can use your points for any time of year. Use year status simply determines when you receive your allotment of points and when those points expire.
