Our trip budget changed so that we can stay Poly concierge. However, they could not put us there until the third night of out trip (first week of Dec.). The CM said if another reservation was cancelled, we could change the entird reservation over, but that I would have to call to check in. Any advice of how often I should? Believe me, I'll do it on the hour if it helps!!! Anyone been in this same situation?

If it were me I would grab the available nights now and call back every so often to add the first two nights. Had good luck doing that kind of thing last summer. That's assuming you're not on a package. I called every few days and got what I hoped for and this was for a rather last minute trip. Keep your ressie for the other two nights for the time being. This far out I imagine you'll be fine. Good luck!

Believe me- I took the nights I could get! I'm just hopeful I can switch them over to avoid changing rooms! I didn't know if there was a set time reservations expired in the computers when deposits aren't made. I'd call every day if I knew it was the best time.

Call Every day at different times of the day. I have had the best luck doing it this way. Are you a Disney Club Member?? If you are then you can use their 1-800 number and it doesnt cost you to call. I will sorely miss that number when Disney Club ends in December :0(

lvs_eeyore- I will sure do that!

Just remember that the closer you get to your date, the more likely it is for a room to open up. People often make reservations and hold out hope that they will be able to take a trip, or they book to reservations while they decide which hotel they want to stay at. Unfortunately, they often keep these until the last day before cancellation charges occur. 45 or 46 days out would be a good time to check for canceled DTC ressies.

I got a romm for extra nights the last minute but I did call everyday in the morning and the night. I had told the cast member they must of had anotation on my reservations that I was a pain in the A** but never the less I finally got the last 2 nights I wanted :D

I just upgraded from GV concierge to LV concierge. I had tried a few times and it was not available, then one morning.......BINGO:Pinkbounc
Just keep trying, no scientific proof here but moning worked for me.
Sending pixie dust your way.:)

Thanks for all the advice!! I will keep trying, and when it gets closer to trip time I'll be writing back with questions on the Poly concierge!! Thanks also to all who post their trips- I read them all!
