changing party size for PS's

For our upcoming trip in October, I have quite a few PS's already made for our party of 8. We just found out one of my nieces won't be able to make the trip. So my question is: Do you think I need to change all my PS's from party of 8 to party of 7? I'm assuming they will still need to use the same size table either way.

Last year I had a large party and by the end of trip we didn't take some of our meals together as originally planned. We just told them when we got there that there were only 4 people (for example) instead of 7. There seemed to be no problem at all. I would think you'd have no problem at all if you are only missing one of your party. So I wouldn't make another phone call just to change it from 8 to 7.

Thanks for your response. I was thinking the same thing. It just makes you feel better about it when you hear it from someone else!!!!
