Changing # of People on ADR

We have a very large group going to WDW in about 6 weeks. We have ADRs on most nights, some with everyone. I am trying to finalize everything and there will be one family that cannot come at all and several ADRs that may be a few people less. None of our ADRs have everyone at one table because there are too many people.

If we change our ADR to less people, it does not cancel the ADR correct? We will still have the same ressie...with less people? And then they can offer the ADR to others for the remaining # of people?

Correct.
I just went from a party of 14 to a party of 4 at Le Cellier. Since the orig ressie consisted of three 4 tops and a 2 top - they just released the 2 4tops and the 2top leaving me with just a table for 4. Same confirm number.
