changing linked tickets?

Hi, I bought 10 day NE tickets years ago and have about 2 days left. My upcoming trip will be ~4 park days so I plan on getting 4 day tix rather than using these 2 and buying a 2 day pass. I haven't bought new tickets yet BUT want to be able to book my FP+ at 60 days out. Has anyone tried linking tickets, booking FP+, and then changing the tickets linked to their account? I'm assuming my FP+ shouldn't drop but figured I'm better of checking...

I don't think there is any affect on your FP+, but you do need to make sure that your tickets are correctly "prioritized" so that you end up deducting days from the correct ticket. I've never done this, but supposedly you need to call Disney to verify.

I have done it and it works fine as long as you add the new tickets before you remove the old tickets. Also, the new ticket has to have enough days to cover your FP+ reservations.

I have this done at guest services to be sure. They cannot do it at the resorts. I have an AP and a regular ticket associated with my MDE account. Every time I enter a park I worry that an IT glitch will mess up my tickets.
