Changing It Up - Other Dining Options

We'll be at Disney shortly and will of course be dining at several WDW restaurants. However, on 2 separate days we plan to eat off-site (but still somewhat close to Disney).

Does anyone have any good suggestions for nice, yet not insanely expensive, restaurants off-site but yet still somewhat close to the mothership? Any suggestions for a good place to get a steak (yet still family friendly)?

Miller's Ale House is really good. And Sweet Tomatoes.

I would also suggest the MING COURT on I drive. Some of the best Chinese anywhere!

I highly recommend Chuy's (hands down the best Tex-Mex I've had and the service was great) on W Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy. It's pretty close to DAK.

There's also a Miller's Ale House like 1/10 of a mile from there too, which is pretty good (the mountain melt is my favorite - wings on top of a bed of fries with cheese, bacon bits, scallions, ect)

I know it's "new"er. Not sure exactly when it opened though. I'm thinking like a year old or so.

Chuy's in Orlando! I am in heaven! This is real Tex-Mex!!! I could eat my weight in the Hatch sauce...it is hot and I am speaking as a native Texan who loves spicy food. I will say they have hands down the best kids chicken strips. I have said for years they could open a chicken strip chain and only sell the chicken strip and it would surpass chick-fil-a or cane's! My DH love the Elvis Presley memorial combo and I drool over the chick chicka boom boom plate! Delish!

Johnnies Hideway has great steak and is very family friendly. Not the cheapest....but on part with mid-range Disney restaurants and better food!
