Changing guests in reservations! Phone CM pure vent

I have a reservation for 2 nights, but I made an error when booking. My FIL and husband have the same name and I selected my FIL, but my husband has tickets, etc etc.

So I called to ask to change the guests and for the life of the CM they could not understand what I wanted. I tried to do it online prior and it didn’t work. Now I’m just changing the reservation 2 times to get the right guests.

I know it was my error but honestly she kept asking if I wanted to change the spelling on his name, no no just the actual guest!
 

But if they have the same name, she probably thought it was the correct person. She couldn’t see there was someone else with that name.
Very possible, one has a middle initial and one does, also my husband has an avatar and FIL doesn’t other wise I would make this mistake allllll the time.

And I know for a fact they can see the avatars on the list of friends and family on MDE. My DH got duplicated on MDE when he created his own MDE account a while back. We got it straight when the CM on the phone helped me by telling me to have him use the instance of him with the Russel avatar.

Sorry you just got one that was being dense today. Clearly they are not all created equal.
 
Try calling back and speaking to someone else. Not every CM knows what they’re doing and sometimes you just need a different person to help
 
I think I would call back and see if you can get someone else to help.....I have found that, maybe someone is new, maybe they're having an off day, but calling back you get a new luck of the draw. Surely someone should be able to help you with this ! good luck !!!

I have zero patience today, I ended up just modifying to 3 guests (took him off), then modified again back to 4 and put the right person on.
 
My husband and son have same first name so I have one listed with the full name and the other with the shortened version on MDE. I also have a different avatar on each to remind me.
 
Hi, I went through this too. My husband and son have the same name, Jr and Sr. I made the reservation, but for some reason they put my son as the second person on it. I called tech support and they fixed it for me. This happened a few times.
By the way, I am not new here, had to create a new account due to tech issues with my emaI’ll. Used to be KerryCM. Been here since 1999, stinks starting over!
