Changing from room only res to package with plan...

Is this possible? We have a room only reservation for November, but now DH wants to add the dining plan. Is it possible to change this reservation to a package deal?

I have been told by my Travel Agent that we can add the dining plan up to 5 days before we are supposed to arrive.

Yes it's possible, as that's what we did for our trip last month. We had to cancel our room-only reservation and re-book a package with dining. We had to pay a $200 deposit for the package, and pay the balance in full 45 days before arrival date.
