Changing from Home Reservation at 7 months

Do I understand correctly: I can book at the 11 month window at my home resort, but then I can change to another DVC resort at the 7 month window (but if the new reservation requires fewer points, I can no longer bank those "unused" points left over from the previous reservation)

If the points are current UY, you are not in the last 4 months of your UY and you modify the reservation 31 days or more prior to check-in, those points should be bankable.

In addition to the above, if you borrowed points for the reservation, those could not be put back to the year you borrowed them from. Once borrowed you have to use them.

This is why "use year" is important. You might be able to bank those points and you might not. It all depends on your use year and the dates of your reservation.
