Changing email address on MDE account

Has anyone had any luck updating their email address on MDE (I'm using the desktop version since the app always glitches for me)?

I could update my physical address and billing address but when I try to update my email it keeps giving me an error message. It's entered correctly and matches the email confirmation field.

Last month, I had to call in order to change my daughter's email address, but she created an entirely new profile. I don't know if that makes the difference or not, but we are DVC members and member services patched me through to the Disney IT peeps.
