Is it possible to change a cruise booking from cash to DVC points? I will have a large number of DVC points this year as we are going on the Panama Repo in August and won't be able to stay at WDW afterwards, so wondered if I could use them to pay for the cruise.

You could always ask.
We are using points for our cruise Oct 09, and we used points for Sept last year.
We had to pay $90 to book the cruise.

Only if there is availability in the DVC booking system, I believe they are allocated some much useage for each cruise.
If not you can always bank your points, if not already banked, or rent them out.
