Hi everyone we are taking the eurostar to dlp but we change at lille is this going to be easy as we dont speak french are the trains near to each other :confused3 thanks

Changing at Lille is really easy you wont have any problems. Ive done it 3 times now and havent had a problem and my french isnt brilliant. I never needed to speak to anyone, the trains come up on a board with with platform number and you just go to the platform. The station isnt very big so really easy to find. Dont worry about it. :thumbsup2

We got back from DLP yesterday and had to change at Lille on both legs of the journey. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it was hell on earth :sad1: We were delayed by Eurostar going out so we had 2 minutes to get from our first train before the 2nd train left. My dd (3) fell on the steps, and still people threw suitcases on top of her in their scrum to get on board. Hell, hell, hell. In fact, the journey spoilt the holiday. I swore I would never catch the Eurostar again if it involved changing at Lille.

I will state, I had 2 children 5 and under, am 5 months pregnant, had a buggy ang 4 pieces of luggage. Perhaps if I was on my own with one small piece of luggage it would have been manageable.
