Changing amount of people on reservations?

We have friends who are trying to meet us for dinner some nights. If I go ahead and book for a party of 5, but they decide not to come, can I change it for less people or will I lose the reservation? I know you definitely cannot add more people. I will get at least a weeks advanced notice!

As long as it's not a CC hold or prepay meal, even if you aren't able to switch you'll be fine showing up with less. In order to lower the number of people in a reservation they may try to cancel and rebook. But that has risks so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Thank you. one of the meals is Akershus, so that could be a problem?

Is Akersaus a prepay meal? If so then yes it will be a problem.

Akershus will be a problem. Since they are a CC held meal, they can (and will likely) charge you the no show fee for the part of the party not showing up.

This would be one to certainly attempt to reduce once you know for sure (or just tell them "tough luck" and make the reservation not including them ).

As a note, the pre-paid meals are CRT, Hoop De Doo Revue, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Spirit of Aloha. The CC Held ones are Akershus, California Grill, and the Fantasmic Package. (There may be a couple others that I can't remember, like Chef's Table at Kouzzina and V&A and the like).
