Our travel party has dropped from five people to four and I have all of my ADRs set for a party of five, and we are about three weeks out from our trip...will I be able to change the ADRs to a party of four without losing our times? Or would it matter if I just leave them as-is and only show up with four of us instead of five? (I made these ADRs right at the 180 day mark and got exactly what I wanted, so I'd hate to lose them!)

I know I can always call Disney Dining and ask, but I figured I'd get some input here first. ;) Anyone? Thanks!

:cutie: I called to make reservations earlier today and asked the very same question. I made ressies for 4, but could drop to just 2. Anyway, the lady explained to me that if I want to make reservations for 2 instead, I *may* end of losing my previous ressies because they will now need to look for a new table for me. I asked what about if I just show up with one other person instead of 4 people total and she said that I may end up having to wait for a table for 2 once we get there. No penality, but just may have to wait longer since they won't sit us at a 4-person table.

Hope I am being clear. Since from 5 to 4 is not much of a difference, I would just keep your ressies.

Thanks for your response sugarlens! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if a party of five typically takes up two tables instead of one? If that's the case, maybe dropping down to four would not cause us to lose our times, and as an added bonus it would free up a table for someone else trying to get ADRs. However, I just don't know and I'm reluctant to call and mess with anything at this point.

Our ADRs are at:

Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner
Ohana Best Friends Breakfast
Chef Mickey's breakfast

Any and all advice/comments welcome! :thumbsup2

I would not try to rebook in a situation like this unless I had a reservation that required a deposit to hold. It doesn't appear that you do, so I would just tell the host/hostess that 1 of your party could not make it.
