Changing a PS

If you want to try and change the time of a PS, will they amend your original reservation, or do they cancel the old one and create a brand new reservation?

Are you changing the time only but keeping it the same day?

We had a 8 am PS for 1900 Park Faire and we did not arrive until 9:30 am

We had no problem getting in with little wait. Of course, this was in October. The CM told us, if you have a PS and its not that busy it does not matter what time you arrive.

In my experience, the CM would have to cancel and see if anything else is avaiable (which may not be anymore). How late are you going to be? It might be worth it to just keep the PS, and show up late. They can only say no, right? Good luck!

Just call and ask about availability. You never know. Then if they have it they will issue a new PS and cancel the old one. They get these calls all the time because at some restaurants they don't open up prime times until all the other ones are filled.

Don't cancel the old one until you first book the new one. Even the CMs will tell you the same. They do actually replace the old reservation with a new one.

You will get a brand new confirmation number, and they will cancel the old PS.

We did this just last week.

We'd originally made a PS for 2 at 6:15- and had a friend who was able to join us about three days before our PS. We called to change the party total, and had to slide the PS to 7:15 because they couldn't fit 3 into our original time.

We ended up keeping the original PS confirmation number, but they shifted it to a time when the 3 of us could get in.

I was just doing this last nite. They make your new PS first to make sure you can get what you want. Then after you have the new confirmation #, they will cancel the original.
